Hy-Vee recalls several Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees due to undeclared milk allergen

Hy_Vee Inc., based out of West Des Moines, Iowa, says they have voluntarily recalled seven of its Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees after they found that the liquid egg used to make the fried rice contains milk, which is not declared on the product label.

Officials say the recall involves the 16-ounce or 20-ounce plastic containers with best if used by dates of September 14th, 2019 and September 15th, 2019.

The expiration date can be found on the label on the top of the plastic lid.

The company says there have been no confirmed adverse reactions due to the consumption of these foods.

Anyone concerned about an illness should contact their health care provider.

The product was distributed to Hy-Vee grocery stores across eight states, including, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The company says the recall is “out of an abundance of caution.”
