Inspire Girls Event Empowers Teens and Pre-Teens In Lincoln

Lincoln (KLKN) – Designed to educate and empower pre-teen and teen girls, the Inspire Girls event has five areas of focus: education, careers, non-profits, life skills and fun. Their latest yearly event took place at Doane University’s Innovation Campus on Saturday, March 18th. It included fun, activities, as well as vendor booths with samples and swag.

The afternoon brought together features speakers, activities, prizes, entertainment, vendors, and more. Inspire Girls is aimed toward empowering and educating pre-teen and teenage girls in the Lincoln community.

“I hope that they get great information. I hope that they get the opportunity to hear stories in terms of things that they can do to set themselves up for success. I hope that they can get solid advice on how to just handle themselves and continue to push themselves, strive for more, and grow,” said Natalia Witta, event organizer.

The Lincoln Police Department was proud to be one of the sponsors of this year’s Inspire Girls event.
