Isolated shower possible; Nice start to the weekend

A few scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through mid-morning for an area south and west of a line from Grand Island to Fairbury Friday.  Afterwards, skies should turn partly cloudy for most of Friday.

Temperatures will only top out in the lower to middle 80°s Friday as compared to upper 80°s to 90° Thursday.

By late afternoon and early evening a few isolated showers will be possible.  The best chance for this will happen along Hwy 136 in far southern southeast Nebraska and an area bound by Nebraska City, far eastern Lancaster County, and Omaha.

Skies turn mostly clear overnight and temperatures drop in to the upper 50°s Saturday morning.  A good night to turn off the air conditioning and open the windows!

The weekend will start off on a nice note.  Temperatures will struggle to get out of the upper 70°s for a vast area of southeast Nebraska.  Lincoln will likely top out at 80°.  Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.  There will be a chance for an isolated shower Saturday evening, especially in far eastern Nebraska near the Nebraska/Iowa state line.
