Jet ski collision sends one man to the hospital

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 24-year old Omaha man was injured in a jet ski crash at Lake McConaughy, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC).

The collision happened around 4 pm on Monday. He was taken to UC Health University of Colorado Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

It happened when the 24-year-old was driving a jet ski along with a 27-year-old Omaha man in the Martin Bay area. The 27-year-old then collided with the 24-year-old’s jet ski, striking his leg.

The collision caused the victim to fall off and be taken to shore.

Keystone Lemoyne Fire and Rescue emergency provided medical treatment at the scene.

NGPC is investigating the incident. No citations have been issued at this time.
