Kahoa Elementary School honors graduating high school seniors
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Students lined the halls of Kahoa Elementary School on Thursday for the eighth annual honor walk.
The walk honors past students who are graduating high school and fifth graders who are moving up to middle school.
Current students and teachers cheered on the seniors as they walked the halls one final time.
During the walk, the seniors had a kindergartener escort them down the hall, which made a nice full-circle moment.
“When I was walking down, when we were saying goodbye, kindergartener hugged me and I knew it was a sense of completement,” said Madison West, a graduating senior from Lincoln East.
LPS students will graduate this weekend in ceremonies at Pinnacle Bank Arena:
- Lincoln North Star, 6 p.m. Friday
- Lincoln East, 8:30 a.m. Saturday
- Lincoln High, 3:30 p.m. Saturday
- Lincoln Northeast, noon Sunday
