Lancaster County COVID-19 update

The number of vaccinations continue to climb in the county with thousands getting vaccinated on Saturday.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Sunday, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) announced 40 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the community total to 28,522.

The total number of deaths remains at 221.

More than 14,400 people have recovered from the virus, with more than 97,000 vaccines administered. Of those vaccinated, 60,253 have received their first dose of the vaccine and 37,241 have received their second dose.

This week’s positivity rate is 18.1%.
