UPDATE: Officer injured during incident in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities have confirmed that a law enforcement officer was injured Saturday morning.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the officer – whose name and agency have not been released – suffered non-life threatening injuries during an officer-involved shooting.
Other details were not immediately clear but medical and police units were originally dispatched the area of 56th and Arbor Road around 9:40 a.m. Saturday.
The Nebraska State Patrol says there is no danger to the public and traffic on I-80 is unaffected at this time.
The Nebraska State Patrol, Lincoln Police Department, and Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office will hold a media briefing this afternoon at 4:00 p.m., you can watch it live online and on Channel 8.
