LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lawmakers on Friday passed a bill to ban electronic smoking devices inside public buildings in Nebraska.
The bill, introduced by Grand Island Senator Dan Quick, amends the Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act to prohibit the use of any electronic nicotine delivery systems as defined by state law.
The bill exempts licensed electronic smoking device retail outlets from the Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act as it relates to the use of electronic smoking devices.
The bill passed on a 33-2 vote.
