LFR: Garage fire damages nearby homes, to cost $350,000

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A late-night garage fire caused about $350,000 in damages.

Wednesday night, around 11:30, Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) responded to the home, 7826 Stonewall Ct. Crews say they saw heavy smoke and flames spewing from an attached garage of a duplex, and was breaching the home.

The resident was home but had evacuated by the time LFR got there.

The residents from the adjoining duplex would also be displaced due to smoke damage from the nearby flames.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated by Fire Investigator Brad Hasenjaeger.
