LFR: Lincoln home erupts in flames, residents inside

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln home burst into flames around 2:40 a.m. Saturday. Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) quickly responded to the scene, 4401 Duxhall Dr.

There were two residents inside when the fire started. They were able to safely evacuate in time.

Crews report the fire started a the front of the building, but the flames worked their way up the walls into the attic. The fire was under control by 3:30 a.m, but LFR continues to monitor the home for hotspots.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
