The new DHMs affect businesses like W.C’s South Sports Bar and they’re getting ready to follow those new rules that go into effect  June 1.

“A week after we initially closed we opened back up for takeout only,” says Jamie Norton, manager.

Starting June 1st,  you can go to a bar and order a drink. But you must sit at a table with up to 6 total people and practice social distancing from other groups. Games like pool, darts and arcade games will remain prohibited.

“As far as we know we’re not gonna be able to have the pool tables or darts going yet we still are offering kino,” says Norton. “The jukebox is on.”

The bar has spaced its tables apart, blocked off the bar area and more to keep its customers safe.

Nelson says the bar will extend its hours.

“We will be opening up from 9 am to midnight we’re gonna see how that goes and see what kind of response we get from our customers,” says Norton.

And that manager says they are looking forward to things returning to normal as soon as possible so they can get back to business and connecting with the community.
