Lincoln Board of Education approves new budget, drop for tax levy
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — In a unanimous vote, the Lincoln Board of Education approved the district’s 2026-27 budget on Sept. 22.
The 2026-27 budget increased by about 5% to more than $586 million.
The tax levy decreased by one cent due to more money coming in from property taxes. The levy is now $1.01.
