Lincoln bridal store implements one of a kind technology
As WE COME UPON ENGAGEMENT SEASON, MORE BRIDES TO BE WILL BE PLANNING THEIR WEDDINGS.
A BRIDAL STORE IN LINCOLN HAS A NEW FEATURE, BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY ONE IN THE NATION, AIMED AT TAKING THE STRESS OUT OF WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING.
IT’S CALLED THE MAGIC Mirror.
THE MIRROR TAKES PICTURES OF A BRIDE-TO-BE IN THE GOWN SHE’S TRYING ON, AND THEN COMPARES THEM side by side, TAKING THE GUESSING GAME OUT OF FINDING THE PERFECT DRESS.
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a bride say, I wish I could just clone myself and see one dress here and one dress here exactly on myself, and this allows them to do that,” said Victoria Malina, assistant manager at Ellynne Bridal.
THE MAGIC LIES IN THREE SIMPLE PARTS: A SPECIAL PIECE OF GLASS, AN lcd SCREEN, AND A HIGH RESOLUTION CAMERA.
“Those things combine to let the associates use an iPad to be able to control it so they can take pictures of the brides as they’re trying on different gowns and then very easily flick them up onto the screen to allow side by side comparisons,” said Zachary Rustad, owner of Ellynne Bridal.
THE VISION FOR THE Magic Mirror COMES FROM Rustad.
HIS MOM, ELLYNNE, OPENED THE STORE 14 YEARS AGO, BUT passed away SUDDENLY from cancer LAST YEAR.
A BUSINESS DEVELOPER AT DIGITAL MEDIA COMPANY NANONATION IN LINCOLN, HE BROUGHT the NEW TECHNOLOGY TO THE BRIDAL EXPERIENCE.
“I’ve been very honored and fortunate to keep it going and help create the same type of experiences that she was for her brides,” he said.
NOT ONLY IS IT EASY, but CONSULTANTS AT Ellynne Bridal HAVE ALSO FOUND the mirror CUTS DOWN ON APPOINTMENT TIME, MAKING THE BIGGEST DAY IN THEIR LIFE A LITTLE EASIER.
