Lincoln Chamber awards local businesses and community members at ceremony

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce awarded six local businesses and two community members for their work at the 2021 Celebrate Business Awards.

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce held the event at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel on Thursday.

Muchachos won the Small Business of the Year Award. The award honors businesses that best exemplify the spirit of free enterprise in Lincoln.

Instinct Pet Food won the Manufacturer of the Year Award. The award brings attention to Lincoln’s manufacturing community and the social and economic contributions made to Lincoln.

Nelnet Renewable Energy Services won the Green Business of the Year Award. The award honors businesses that are environmentally responsible.

CompanyCam won the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. The award recognizes a company that exemplifies creativity in the development of enterprise in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Airport won the Tourism Development Award. The award recognizes businesses that exemplify creativity in the development of the tourism industry.

Bryan Health won the Cornerstone Award. The award honors those who have added to the economic base of the community and provided opportunities for those to live and work in Lincoln.

Tom Smith won the Burnham Yates Citizenship Award. The award recognizes individual citizenship efforts and their contributions to the city.

Dr. Marilyn Moore EdD won the Roger T. Larson Community Builder Award. The award is given to a candidate whose work through public service has shaped the Lincoln community.
