Lincoln Crime Stoppers looking for too-thrifty shoppers

Police are searching for suspects who saved their money by skipping the checkout line.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Frugality may be a virtue, but shoplifting is taking things just a bit too far. That’s what Lincoln Crime Stoppers is highlighting this week.

For our first case, we go back to January 13th of this year. The place: Orchlens on Cornhusker. The situation: A shopper stopped by in the afternoon and picked out some clothes that are valued at around $500. But police say the person ran out the door and into the parking lot. When the manager tried to stop the suspect, the man said he had a gun and drove off in a white Dodge Ram with no plates.

The second case is recent, happening on March 27th. This is at the Super Saver at 56th and Highway 2. This suspect is shown wandering the aisles of the liquor section before he grabs a bottle of tequila and pockets it. Police say the man walked out, got into a silver sedan, and took off.

If you think you have a tip in either case, Lincoln Crime Stoppers would love to hear from you. You can reach out to them on their website.
