Lincoln Crime Stoppers: Partially happy endings

In both cases this week, nothing ended up being stolen, but two suspects are still at large.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – In both of this week’s cases, there were unsuccessful attempts to steal something, but each time, the would-be wrongdoers were stopped. Still, they’re out there, and the Lincoln Police Department needs your help tracking them down.

First, we go all the way back to the Fourth of July holiday. The Friends of Troop 16 were selling fireworks at the Southview Christian Church ahead of the night’s festivities. One man is photographed picking out some fireworks before running for his car. A worker was able to catch up before the suspect drove off, and the fireworks even made it back to their rightful place. The black SUV the suspect drove off in is also in the pictures.

Fast forward to September 22nd, and our second case follows a similar line. A woman came into the North 27th Street Home Depot, and also made some selections, but hers ended up in a garbage bin she was toting through the store. An employee stopped the suspect before she could walk out the door without paying, but she ran off without her nearly-stolen items.

In either case, LPD asks for any details you might have. You can get a closer look at these cases and others at their website, here.
