Lincoln Crime Stoppers: Speedy suspects

Two suspects make a quick getaway, and we get a look at who defaced a UNL statue.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – This week, Lincoln Police are highlighting two speed demons as well as the person who is suspected of vandalizing the Husker Legacy Statue in front of Memorial Stadium.

The speedy situation occurred on September 25th at the Lincoln Vapor Store located at 70th and A streets. Video shows the pair of suspects kicking out the bottom of the front door glass. They scramble inside the store, vault over the counter, and take an estimated $1,500 worth of merchandise.

The second crime is one that may ring a bell: the vandalism of the Husker Legacy Statue that sits near the east side of Memorial Stadium. UNLPD has video of the suspect using white spray paint on the statue. They’ve made two photographs of this person available.
