Lincoln East basketball teams win the ‘Battle of A Street’
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln East and Lincoln Pius X basketball teams played Friday night in the annual “Battle of A Street.”
The East girls won a nailbiter 47-46.
The East boys also prevailed 58-53
The two teams played for an even greater reason than basketball, though.
The game raised thousands of dollars for local cancer patients.
All proceeds go to the Heartland Cancer Foundation.
