Lincoln inmate missing after removing monitor, officials say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities are searching for an inmate who went missing Wednesday from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln.

Christopher Foster, 36, removed his electric monitoring device and left it near Coddington Avenue and West A Street, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said.

Foster began his sentence on Jan. 5, 2021.  He was serving up to six years for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.

Officials described Foster as a 5-foot-11, 170-pound white man with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
