Lincoln man arrested after making threats, waving gun around at party, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police arrested a man after a group of people said he threatened them at a Fourth of July party.

The department said officers were called to a home near Ginny Avenue and 45th Street early Tuesday morning.

Three people told police they were at a block party when 21-year-old Dylan Stanton showed up.

Stanton was apparently intoxicated when he arrived, and he started making threats when told to leave, according to police.

Police said Stanton was carrying a holstered handgun and referenced it in his threats.

Stanton did leave the party, but not before pulling the gun out and waving it in the air, police allege.

Officers later caught up with Stanton at his home and found a handgun.

He was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
