Lincoln man caught speeding moments after being sentenced for speeding

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man found himself back behind bars moments after he was sentenced for speeding in northeast Nebraska.

Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a Stanton County deputy pulled over a motorcycle – driven by a 20-year-old Lincoln man – for going 106 mph on Highway 275 near Norfolk.

The deputy found that the motorcyclist, who had a revoked driver’s license, just left the Stanton County Courthouse.

Authorities said the man was sentenced for driving under suspension and speeding.  The judge ordered him to pay fines for both offenses.

Now, the motorcyclist is facing new charges, including speeding, driving under suspension and careless driving.

The man has since bonded out of jail, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said.
