Lincoln man charged after leaving hit and run crash
A Lincoln man accused in a fatal hit and run was in court Wednesday afternoon.

LINCOLN Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man accused in a fatal hit and run was in court Wednesday afternoon. Police say 29-year-old Hani Hadgi hit Victor Melendez with an SUV Monday night.
A judge said leaving the scene of an injury accident serious bodily injury is a Class 3 felony. Hadgi could serve up to 4 years in prison and 25,000 dollars fine.
Hadgi was arrested Tuesday and police believe he intentionally hit the 41-year-old Melendez. Again, he’s charged with a felony for leaving the scene of an injury accident but officials say more charges could be filed.
His bond has been set at $25,000.
