During their investigation, police also found a man dead outside of Motel 6 near the airport.

Through DNA testing, police identified the victim as Ronnie Patz, 49, of Lincoln.

Wright was determined to be a person of interest in Patz’s death after the men were seen checking into the hotel together on Aug. 29.

Police searched the landfill for evidence in the weeks after the slayings.

Their search came to an end last week after they said they had all of the evidence they were going to be able to recover.

Wright was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony in Patz’s death.

He was also charged with second-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony in George’s death.

Both investigations are ongoing, and we ask anyone with information to contact the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or CrimeStoppers at 402-475-3600.
