Lincoln man dies after Highway 34 crash near Seward

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 29-year-old Lincoln man died after a crash near Seward on Tuesday, the sheriff’s office says.

Around 7:50 a.m., the Seward County Sheriff’s Office was sent to a head-on collision that involved a car and semitrailer-truck on Highway 34 near 210th Road.

Beau Connely was traveling west when he crossed the center line, colliding head-on with an eastbound semi.

Connely was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office says.

The crash is currently being investigated by the sheriff’s office and the Nebraska State Patrol.

Connely’s family has created a Go Fund Me page. They say “This fund will go to Beau’s Funeral & Memorial Expenses. Anything above and beyond will be deposited into a fund for his daughter, Lily. We appreciate your support.”
