Authorities have arrested a Lincoln man in connection to a pursuit and officer-involved shooting in Missouri.

Drew Pierce, 31, was booked in the Callaway County Jail on assault, burglary, and resisting arrest charges. He’s also being held on a Nebraska fugitive warrant for a felony weapons offense, according to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Fulton (Missouri) police became involved in a pursuit with a vehicle. When the vehicle stopped and officers tried to take Pierce and another occupant, identified as Ronnie Lloyd, 31 of Fulton, into custody, the vehicle took off and struck an officer. Officers then began firing at the vehicle.

A 13-hour manhunt ensued involving K9 units and air support from numerous law enforcement agencies before Pierce and Lloyd were located and arrested.

The injured officer has since been released from a Missouri hospital.

The shooting is under investigation.
