Lincoln man found dead in grocery store parking lot

LPD says due to the unexplained injuries, an autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are investigating a man’s death after they found the victim unresponsive in a vehicle at a south Lincoln grocery store parking lot.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Lincoln Police received a call of a man down inside a vehicle at the Super Saver at 5440 S 56th St. around 8 a.m. on Monday.

LFR forced entry into the man’s vehicle to gain access. Afterward, LFR declared the man deceased.

LPD says due to the unexplained injuries, an autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Officers conducted interviews and reviewed videos from the area. LPD says the investigation is in its preliminary stages.
