Lincoln man hits two parked cars, arrested for DUI

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police arrested a man for DUI after he hit two parked vehicles at an apartment complex on Tuesday.

LPD says witnesses near 14th and Adams Streets saw 25-year-old Zane Knopp leave his apartment around 4:00 p.m.

Knopp returned and hit a silver Jeep in the apartment complex.  He then left the parking lot.

Knopp returned shortly after and hit another parked vehicle as he was backing into a parking spot.

Bystanders held Knopp until officers arrived.

When officers arrived, they believed Knopp was intoxicated and began a DUI investigation.

Officers also searched Knopp’s vehicle and found $1,800, 288.9 grams of marijuana, and 481.9 grams of concentrated THC among other drug-related items.

According to LPD, Knopp also had a revoked license.

LPD arrested Knopp for leaving the scene of an accident, DUI 2nd offense, driving during revocation, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of money while violating a drug statute, and possession of marijuana over 1 pound.
