Lincoln man ‘letting it ride’ after winning $10 on Nebraska Lottery scratch ticket

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man showed off his big win after he claimed a $10 prize on a Nebraska Lottery scratch ticket.

On April 7, Torry Nielsen claimed a $10 Wild Cherry Crossword Doubler scratch ticket at the Nebraska Lottery offices.

Nielsen asked if he could have a big check, according to a post on the lottery’s Facebook page.  “Oh, heck yea you can,” the lottery said.

Nielsen was then asked what he would do with his winnings.

“Letting it ride,” he said.

In a post on April 16, the Nebraska Lottery also shouted out Matt McDermott, a California man who got a big check for winning $7.

McDermott had been in town for his daughter’s soccer tournament, the lottery said.
