Lincoln man tries to run away from officers, police use taser

Lincoln police were trying to make contact with a man in the 6900 block of Willow Avenue regarding threatening texts/calls he allegedly had been sending.

When the officer contacted him as part of the investigation, 40-year-old Adam Gilleland refused to speak to the officer and attempted to run away.

During this action, LPD say he attempted to access an area out of visual observation, causing concerns he might be attempting to arm himself with a weapon.
The officer deployed his taser and Gilleland was taken into custody.
After being medically examined at a local hospital, he was cited and lodged for Terroristic Threats.
