Lincoln man who employed children facing additional sex assault charges

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man who ran a child entertainment business in Lincoln is facing additional sexual assault charges.

Lincoln police say 42-year-old Graciano Lopez is now charged with two additional counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a protected person, six counts of first-degree assault of a child and one count of third-degree sexual assault of a child.

Lopez was arrested in April for first-degree sexual assault after a 17-year-old boy called state health officials to report he had been abused several times by his foster parent, identified as Lopez.

Lopez ran a businesses called Jolly Bean’s Magic Castle at 2332 N. Cotner St. that sold kids’ toys, magic supplies and candy, as well as offered magic shows for parties and provided other entertainment services for children, police said.

Police announced Thursday that Lopez also employed children for a lawn care business. They say five boys between the ages of 11 and 14 came forward with allegations against Lopez.
