Lincoln is hovering around 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19, as statewide cases approached 1,700 Tuesday afternoon.

Seven additional cases were announced by Lincoln officials, bringing the community total to 92 cases.

The new cases were two women and five men. They range in age from their 20s to their 70s.

Statewide, total confirmed cases were at 1,655 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The biggest increases continue to be reported in central Nebraska, with Hall County reporting 560 cases.

Health officials also reported three deaths Tuesday. Two of them were men and one was a woman. All of them were over the age of 70 and from Hall County.

The state death total stands at 36.
