LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Northwest High School unveiled its mascot and colors at Arnold Elementary School Thursday.

Principal Cedric Cooper announced the school will be the falcons and have purple, white and gray as the school colors.

Northwest staff held a vote with students and families from Arnold and Roper elementary schools and Park and Schoo middle schools to decide the high school’s mascot.

“We held a lot of engagement opportunities at the schools, meeting with students and families to gather their input during the months of August and September,” Cooper said.

“Nothing rallies a community like a school and we enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing their opinions.”

Northwest High School plans to open in the fall of 2022 and houses a Medical Science Focus Program for juniors and seniors in partnership with Bryan College of Health Sciences.
