LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Pius X defeated Blair 2-1 tonight to win its first title since 2005 and third championship in program history.

The Thunderbolts went up 2-0 after the first half, thanks to Margaret O’Donnell and Ava Kolm, who each scored a goal.

Blair got on the board in the second half, but Pius X was able to hang on for the win.

After two straight years of losing the title game, the Thunderbolts captured victory in 2026.

“We got nine seniors that have been together for a very long time,” said head coach Steve Andersen. “We got underclassmen that didn’t want to let them down, they just (are the) true definition of team plays across the board, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
