Police have not yet named the victim.

About 6:30 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of two men fighting near 28th and F Streets and found an unresponsive 57-year-old male, according to police.

Officers attempted life-saving measures, and the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

A Lancaster County deputy saw the suspects getting into separate vehicles at a U-Suds a block away from the scene of the slaying, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
