Lincoln Police investigating new lead in Regina Bos missing person case
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department said it is investigating a new lead in Regina Bos’s disappearance.
Bos was last seen leaving Duggan’s Pub in downtown Lincoln in the early morning of Oct. 17, 2000.
The pub was located on the corner of South 11th and K streets.
“LPD recently received a new lead, which prompted investigative work in the case in July and August,” said Capt. Ben Miller. “While the results of those efforts are not yet known, investigators continue to follow the information and determine where it may lead.”
Capt. Ben Miller said they are not releasing specific details about the methods being used to protect the integrity of the investigation and respect the family.
Bos would now be 66 years old. Her disappearance sparked the start of Missing Persons Day in Nebraska and the 411Gina Foundation.

He said they now have access to new technology and forensic capabilities, which are giving officers new ways of looking at information and evidence.

“LPD recognizes that behind every missing persons case, there are loved ones who carry the weight of uncertainty and hope,” Miller said. “Our hearts are with Regina’s family and all of the loved ones who are facing this unimaginable reality. Our investigators remain in contact with them, assuring them of our commitment to finding answers for them.”
Bos’s case is one of the longest outstanding missing persons cases in Lincoln.
