Lincoln Public Schools names Phil Skorupa as director of transportation

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Public Schools announced Friday that Phil Skorupa will be the district’s next director of transportation.

LPS says Skorupa, who has worked for the district since 2006, has over 24 years of experience in the transportation industry.

In 2013, he was named assistant transportation supervisor.

Skorupa then became the interim director of transportation in February, according to a press release.

“Phil brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the director of Transportation position,” said Liz Standish, LPS associate superintendent for business affairs, in the release. “His solid understanding of the Transportation Department will be a strong foundation for his leadership moving the department forward.”
