Lincoln rated as one of the top fittest cities in America
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) released its report on the top 100 healthiest cities across America with Lincoln ranking in the 17th spot.
83% of Lincoln residents reported to have exercised in the last month. That is 5% above the average of the top 100 cities.
Along with that, 83% of Lincoln days offer good air quality to residents. That is 7th in the nation for the most good air quality days.
Omaha was ranked 30th, in the second quartile of top 100 cities.
ACSM emphasized in its report the importance of the communities’ role in the fittest ranks. They say communities can support health, active lifestyles with many things including a safe place for residents to be active.
