Lincoln residents invited to share thoughts on South 56th Street project

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The City of Lincoln is inviting residents to an open house to talk about road improvements on South 56th Street.
The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department is hosting the event on March 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gere Branch Library.
Currently, the city plans to improve the wearing pavement on 56th between Spruce and Van Dorn Streets.
The open house will include design information, and planners will be available for questions.
Residents will have the chance to share their thoughts about the proposed project at the open house, and comments will be collected through March 16.
As of now, the city plans to begin the work in the spring of 2025, with completion anticipated the next winter.
