UPDATE: Lincoln roads back open after a pedestrian was hit this morning

Witnesses say the victim was thrown several feet by the collision

UPDATE, 7:00 a.m. — Roads in the area are no longer blocked.

The car that police pulled over has also driven off.

Right now there is still no word on the pedestrian’s condition or if anyone will face possible charges.

 

UPDATE, 6:50 a.m. — Authorities are now confirming only one vehicle was involved in this crash and that there is a single victim as well.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln road is partially blocked this morning after a pedestrian was reportedly hit.

Witnesses say the victim was thrown several feet by the collision at the intersection of 10th and South Streets around 5:40 a.m.

Right now it is not clear what condition they are in.

Channel 8’s Nathan Greve is on scene collecting more information right now.

He says multiple squad cars remain in the area and officers have been speaking to both witnesses and potentially the driver involved in this crash.
