Lincoln Southwest wins Class A state girls track title

Lincoln Southwest won the Class A girls track state championship on Thursday.

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Southwest won the Class A girls track championship on Thursday.

The Silver Hawks scored 89.66 points, more than 21 points higher than Fremont, who finished 2nd in Class A.

Brianna Rinn and Jaida Rowe each had second-place finishes in the 800 and 100 hurdles respectively.

It’s the fifth girls state track title for the Silver Hawks since 2014.

Other Thursday winners include Fremont (Class A boys), Elkhorn North (Class B girls), and Sidney (Class B boys).

Class C and D track finals begin on Friday.
