Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, August 14

It’s our last very warm and sticky day before changes in the weather pattern take place! Mainly sunny skies for the morning and afternoon with highs soaring near 90 degrees today. Clouds begin to increase in coverage as a cold front approaches this afternoon. This front will also spark showers and thunderstorms as it enters eastern Nebraska. A few storms may be strong to severe with hail and gusty winds. Rain and storms should end tonight, with clearing skies by Saturday morning.

High pressure settles in for the weekend giving us sunny skies, it’ll also filter in cooler and much less humid air. Highs in the low to middle 80s both Saturday and Sunday. Lower humidity for Saturday, a little more sticky but tolerable for Sunday. A great weekend to get outdoors and enjoy the weather!

Below average temperatures and much lower humidity levels continue for the beginning of next week. Highs in the lower 80s under mainly dry and sunny conditions. A few small rain chances by midweek.
