Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, August 28

One last hot and humid day before a welcomed cool-down moves in for the weekend. Temperatures will climb back into the middle 90s this afternoon. It may feel more like 100 degrees once you factor in the humidity. A cold front will be pushing across the state today which could spark an isolated shower or sprinkle in southeast Nebraska, however, majority will be dry today. Southwest winds will turn northwesterly behind the front pulling in cooler and drier air for the weekend.

Cooler and comfortable weekend ahead. Saturday will be dry and mild with temperatures in the lower 80s with low humidity. Sunny on Sunday, low 80s with isolated rain chances. Although most should stay dry throughout the day. Perfect weekend to get outdoors and enjoy family time in the yard! Rain chances increase Sunday night into Monday morning giving southeast Nebraska the best chance at seeing rain.

Temperatures continue to plummet for the start of next week. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Scattered rain chances linger thru mid-week. Cooler weather sticks around the rest of the week.
