Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, August 7

Happy Friday! After a pleasant start to the week, we are ending the week anything but. Today will be a lot like yesterday, although there will be more cloud cover, highs with be in the upper 80s and it will be humid. An isolated storm or two is possible today. as well.

A hot and steamy weekend ahead. Temperatures will climb even higher for Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low to middle 90s. It will also be very humid both days allowing for the “real feel” temp to push into the triple digits. Isolated storms possible this weekend. A few strong to severe storms also likely to areas west and north of Lincoln Saturday night into Sunday morning. Damaging wind and small hail would be the biggest threats with these storms.

A better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms will come Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures fall back near average to the mid and upper 80s for most of next week.
