Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, July 17

Hot and humid weather continue into the weekend. Partly to mostly sunny today with highs in the lower 90s with a south breeze at 10-20 mph. However, it will feel more like the triple digits this afternoon. The warm and muggy conditions stick around tonight as lows only fall into the upper 70s.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for Saturday. The hottest weather of the season is slated for this day. Actual air temperatures in the upper 90s but heat index values could be close to 105 to 110 degrees. Take the heat seriously this weekend. Try to limit time outdoors, take frequent breaks in the A/C if possible and stay hydrated! The same precautions goes for your pets too!

Shower and thunderstorm chances return Sunday night into Monday. With continued storm chances thru the middle of next week. Temperatures also get knocked down a peg into the middle to upper 80s. That humidity however, still lingers.
