Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, July 31

We are looking at a nice, cool end to July. A lot like yesterday, highs will be in the lower 80s, but today will be a little less sticky. A passing shower or sprinkle possible this afternoon in extreme southeastern Nebraska. Tonight will be a good night to turn off the A/C and open those windows a temperatures will fall into the upper 50s come Saturday morning.

The cool-train continues for the 1st of August with mid-80s for highs. However, a weak cold front will be rolling through the state which may spark a few showers and thunderstorms in eastern Nebraska Saturday afternoon. If you have plans Saturday, no worries, the rain won’t be an all-day wash but you may have to dodge a pass shower or two. In it’s wake we will be left with much cooler air and lower humidity as we approach Sunday and beyond.

The first full week of August will consist of cooler than average weather. Temps will average around 10 degrees below normal with highs in the upper 70s for much of the week.
