Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, June 26

The focus today will be on southeast Nebraska as showers and thunderstorms could develop along a cold front tracking across the state. Where these storms develop depends on how far south the front goes. Either way, scattered strong to severe storms possible in the late afternoon and evening in southeast Nebraska. Storms could linger overnight as well as the front pushes down into Kansas and Missouri.

Hot and humid weather hang tight today and for the weekend. Highs pushing 90 degrees this afternoon. Upper 80s to low 90s this weekend, with 90s forecast throughout much of next week. Those humid conditions hanging around as well. Get ready to keep the A/C on full blast through the beginning of July.

Spotty rain and storm chances continue almost everyday through next week. Just remember, these will not be all-day rain events, but spotty, short-lived rain chances.  Just be sure to keep up to date with the forecast over the next several days!
