Showers and thunderstorms will be present throughout the weekend along with some dry period as well. If you are planning on being outside a lot or going camping make sure to keep checking the forecast and have a way to get your watches and warnings!

Off and on showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout Friday. Rain could be moderate to heavy at times. It’ll stay cooler with temperatures in the lower 70s. These rain chances continue into this evening before beginning to taper off overnight. Mostly cloudy skies remain with lows dropping into the middle 50s.

If you’re looking for some dry times this weekend, Saturday will be the perfect day! The sunshine will be returning and it’ll be warmer as highs climb into the middle 80s. It may feel a bit humid during the weekend as well.

Another wave of showers and storms roll in Saturday night into Sunday morning. These have the potential to be strong to severe with hail, gusty wind and heavy rain as main threats. While the bulk of this cluster will stay in the northern half of the state, there could be a push southeastward bringing storms into our area.

Additional rain and thunderstorm chances will linger throughout Sunday and even Memorial Day (Monday). Temperatures a bit above average in the middle 70s to low 80s.
