Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, September 25

Ending the last weekend of September on a sunny and hot note. Near record heat both today and tomorrow as highs climb into the lower 90s. Skies will be sunny with a high around 91 degrees (Record 93). Along with the heat, it may feel a bit muggy outside today. Clear skies overnight and temperatures remain mild as they fall into the lower 60s.

It will be hot again on Saturday with temperatures pushing back into the low 90s. Record high for Saturday in Lincoln is 95 degrees. Sunny skies and breezy conditions for the first half of the weekend. A cold front will move across the state Saturday night into Sunday. This will bring a little more cloud cover, lows falling into the upper 50s for Sunday morning. A few sprinkles or an isolated shower is possible but most will remain dry. About a 20 degree drop from Saturday to Sunday with highs in the lower 70s.

Temperatures continue to drop next week. As another stronger front rolls through mid-week highs only expected to reach the low 60s. We’ll be waking up to lows in the 30s and 40s. Good time to find the warmer jackets and sweaters…you’ll be needing the warmer clothing next week!
