Lincoln Weather Update: Friday, September 4

Brrrr! Grab the sweatshirt as you’re running out the door this morning. We’re waking up to temperatures in the 40s and 50s! High pressure still dominating the region which will spill over into the weekend allowing for sunny skies to continue. Warmer today, highs in the upper 80s. While it won’t be as breezy as yesterday, southwest winds will still be blowing in around 10 -20 mph. Another window weather night, lows falling into the upper 50s.

Labor Day weekend gets toasty. Sunshine remains dominate both days and highs soaring into the 90s. Middle 90s for Saturday, with upper 90s and breezy conditions on Sunday. Some places may reach the triple digits on Sunday. While rare, Lincoln has hit 100 degrees in September, back in 2013! Monday will still be warm with highs in the 80s. However rain chances increases by Monday night.

Tuesday is our best chance for rain with lingering rain chances into Wednesday. A stronger cold front drops into the region Monday into Tuesday which will cause temperatures to take a plunge. Highs in the 50s and 60s for mid-week!! Brrrr, hello there Fall.
