Lincoln Weather Update: Monday, August 31

Showers and storms rolled through southeast Nebraska this morning. While we didn’t pick up a lot of rain, in it’s wake has left cooler conditions for the last day of August. Clouds will gradually clear throughout the morning becoming mainly clear for the afternoon. A north breeze at 15-25 mph will keep the humidity at bay, making for a nice and comfortable Monday with highs topping out in the upper 70s. Temperatures fall into the mid 50s overnight with isolated showers possible by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday begins the first day of September and the first day of meteorological Fall! More cloud cover and cool once again with highs in the middle 70s. Temperatures increase for the rest of the week, climbing into the low to middle 80s. A few minor rain chances by the weekend, otherwise staying quiet and dry.

Looking ahead at the extended forecast, we may have a big cool down in store for the second full week of September. Highs forecast in the upper 60s to low 70s!
